To spend time alongside water, especially in a city setting, is one of life's pleasures.
We take seriously our responsibility to restore Britain's waterways and historic
navigation system and we are one of very few companies to submit to an independent
audit. Carried out by URBED under the guidance of a Socially Responsible Investment
Committee, chaired by Sir Jonathan Poritt and including Professor Anne Power (LSE),
George Ferguson and Paul King (Chief Executive of the UK Green Building Council),
this ensures that we continue to push ourselves and our partners towards more
effective sustainability policy and implementation.
Our philosophy is captured in our
Sustainability Charter and for all Isis projects,
we develop a Project Sustainability Plan, to ensure that these issues are at the
heart of each project throughout its development.
Isis creates places that people enjoy living in, stimulating the life of fledgling
communities with a range of cultural and social events, until they take on a life
of their own.
In partnership with public sector and other civic-minded bodies, we invest in our
neighbourhoods to create a place that feels special and that its residents,
customers and visitors care about.
