50 per cent of Isis profits are invested in Britain's waterways.
To spend time alongside water, especially in a city setting, is one of life's
pleasures. Isis works with its partners to unlock the unique potential of
waterside regeneration sites, adding to the quality of life for their users,
visitors and neighbours whilst ensuring that the natural systems, resources
and diversity upon which they depend are enhanced for both current and future
generations.
We take seriously our responsibility to restore Britain's waterways and historic
navigation system and we are one of very few companies to submit to an independent
audit. Carried out by
URBED under the guidance of a Socially Responsible Investment
Committee, chaired by Sir Jonathan Porritt and including Professor Anne Power (LSE),
George Ferguson and Paul King (Chief Executive of the
UK Green Building Council),
this ensures that we continue to push ourselves and our partners towards more
effective sustainability policy and implementation.
Our philosophy is captured in our Sustainability Charter and for all
Isis projects, we develop a Project Sustainability Plan, to ensure
that these issues are at the heart of each project throughout its development.
